Equipment sale, recycling and auction questions.

The practical details equipment owners ask about most often.

Do you buy equipment directly?

Yes. Surplus Cascade purchases equipment directly, with a preference for bulk lots and mixed technical inventories. Equipment included, checks, final price and handover terms are agreed for each transaction.

What equipment do you consider?

We focus on test and measurement, semiconductor tools and support assets, laser and optical systems, and compact robotics, automation, electrical, industrial test and facility-support equipment. Large industrial machinery is excluded.

Where do you work?

We review projects across California, Oregon, Washington State and Nevada. Site visits and collection are arranged around the inventory and location. We do not operate a public drop-off location.

How quickly will you respond?

We aim to respond to new enquiries within 24 hours. This is an initial response target, not a guaranteed final price or collection date.

Do you consider untested, faulty or incomplete equipment?

Yes. We review untested, faulty, incomplete, older and for-parts equipment in our accepted categories. Missing documentation can be disclosed openly. Acceptance depends on the actual equipment and project.

How is the final price determined?

Final pricing follows an equipment check. Condition, completeness, demand, quantity, disassembly, packing and transport costs are considered. Photos and lists start the review but do not establish a final price.

How do you pay?

Payment is made by direct wire transfer after the transaction price is agreed. Payment timing and the equipment release process are confirmed for the individual deal.

Can I submit a rough list or photos?

Yes. Manufacturer, model, quantity, condition and location are a useful start. Phone photos, PDF and CSV/XLSX inventories can be shared by email. Contact us first about a large or restricted file transfer.

Which test-equipment brands do you consider?

NI / National Instruments, Keysight, Agilent, HP, Tektronix, Keithley, Rohde & Schwarz, Fluke, Anritsu and Advantest. Other American and European technical brands may also be reviewed. No manufacturer authorization is implied.

Which laboratory categories are excluded?

HPLC, GC, LC-MS, microscopes, laboratory balances, centrifuges and stand-alone general laboratory chillers are outside the current buying scope. Other technical equipment is assessed against our stated categories.

What about cooling for laser or semiconductor systems?

Dedicated cooling and temperature-control equipment associated with a laser or semiconductor system may be considered as part of that inventory. Identify the parent system; this differs from stand-alone general laboratory chillers.

Do you accept leased or financed assets?

No. Leased, financed, encumbered or third-party assets not authorized for sale are not accepted. Identify them separately and keep them outside the agreed purchase and removal list.

Can you buy equipment from an entire location?

A whole-inventory buyout can be considered within our equipment scope. The site must be prepared for agreed work. Large industrial machinery, building restoration and work on engineering systems are excluded.

Can you dismantle, pack and transport equipment?

We have an experienced team for these tasks. The specific work, charges, site preparation and responsibilities, including possible damage, are discussed and agreed before work is scheduled.

Is pickup free?

There is no blanket free-pickup offer. Collection, processing, labor, packing and transport terms depend on the equipment, location and work involved.

Who handles recycling?

We handle work within our capabilities. Equipment needing other processing may go to another recycling company. Acceptance, the proposed route and any documentation requirements are discussed before collection.

Do you provide data sanitization?

It may be handled directly or through a contractor, including for equipment with installed storage. Tell us the required method, standards, confidentiality and records before scheduling; the scope and available documents must be confirmed.

Are recycling or data-destruction certificates included?

Certificates are not automatically included or promised. Tell us the exact records you need so the provider, scope and ability to supply those records can be confirmed before you authorize the project.

How do auction fees work?

A seller commission applies. The rate, platform costs, preparation, reserves, settlement, handling and arrangements for unsold or uncollected lots are agreed individually. Auction proceeds and sale timing are not guaranteed.

Can we discuss an NDA?

Yes. Contact us before sending a detailed inventory or restricted information so confidentiality requirements and an NDA can be discussed and agreed.

What if the equipment contains special materials?

Disclose contamination, gases, chemicals, refrigerants, batteries and other special conditions before movement. Acceptance of equipment does not automatically include its contents or specialist processing.
